CAT Result 2019: CAT is a very competitive exam and the score matters a lot when it comes to admissions in top IIMs. Each year. an IIM Calcutta is responsible for declaring the CAT results. This year, IIM Kozhikode will announce the results tentatively in the first week of January 2020. The CAT 2019 scorecard will be given in the online mode in pdf form. How to Check CAT 2019 Results?
The results will be declared in online mode. Make sure to download it only from the official website. Below are the steps to follow.
- Go to the official website iimcat.ac.in.
- Enter your CAT 2019 User ID and Password.
- Click “Login”.
- At the top, you will see three tabs – “Application Summary”, “Download Application Form” and “Candidate Score Card”.
- Click on the “Candidate Score Card” tab.
- The results will be displayed on the screen.
- Download it and keep it safe for future reference. You will need it during the GD/PI and final admission.

CAT Marking scheme
The question paper will consist of Multiple choice questions (MCQ) and non-MCQs (Type in the answer type). All questions carry 3 marks. 1 mark will be deducted for every wrong answer.
CAT Normalization
Since the exam is conducted in two slots, the marks are normalized to ensure fairness. It takes into account the difference in marks in both sessions. Normalization is also done in other standardized tests like GATE. The scaled marks are then converted into percentile and presented as such in the scorecard.
Important points to note
- The CAT 2019 results will be available only in online mode.
- It will be valid only for one year.
- The result will consist of the section-wise score, total score, and percentile. The total score is the sum of the scaled scores obtained in each section.
- NOTE: You will be disqualified if you have provided any wrong information during the application or have not met the rules of the admission process.
- There is no reevaluation process for the CAT 2019 scores.
- There is no limit on the number of allowed attempts as long as you are eligible to take the test.
