DTE Maharashtra Admission: The Directorate of Technical Education in Maharashtra has been established to ensure that technical institutions catering to Engineering, Architecture, Pharmacy and Hotel Management & Catering Technology courses across the State of Maharashtra confirm with the policies, rules, guidelines, and strategies formulated by the Central and State governments. The Directorate has under its development and supervisory ambit, around 1600 Technical Education institutions across the state of Maharashtra spread across 6 regions viz. Amravati, Aurangabad, Mumbai, Nagpur, Nashik, and Pune.
The objective of the Directorate of Technical Education, Maharashtra is to uphold and enhance the quality of technical education by defining policies, developing infrastructure at government institutions, guiding private institutions, enhancing interactions with industry, professional bodies and national level institutions of repute. The directorate has been instrumental in ensuring the successful implementation of various government schemes of scholarship for the economically backward, minority and women students enrolled in different courses. Adding to its kitty of financial activity, the directorate has credited itself by conducting industry-funded CSR programs. It has aptly handled, disbursed and monitored the various projects like CIIILP, phases of TEQIP and have utilized the finances for the betterment of technical education in the state of Maharashtra.

DTE Maharashtra Engineering Admissions 2019
- Admissions to the first year of engineering courses in Maharashtra is on the basis of MHT CET 2019.
- Candidates who wish to seek admission in various colleges and universities in BE/B.Tech courses must appear and qualify in the common entrance examination.
- MHT CET 2019 is the Maharashtra common entrance test for BE/B. Tech, B.Pharma, D.Pharma courses. MH CET 2019 will be held on 02 – 23 May 2019 for engineering courses in all district headquarters of Maharashtra.

DTE Maharashtra 2019 Eligibility Criteria
Eligibility criteria for various types of candidature for admission are given below
Maharashtra State Candidature Candidate
- The candidate should be an Indian National
- Passes HSC or its equivalent examination with physics and mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the chemistry or biotechnology or biology or technical vocational subjects, and obtained at least 50%marks (at least 45% marks in case of backward classes and persons with disability belonging to Maharashtra state only).
- The candidate should have appeared in CET and should obtain non zero scores in CET conducted by the competent authority.
All India Candidature Candidates, Jammu, and Kashmir migrant candidature candidates
- The candidate should be an Indian National
- Passes HSC or its equivalent examination with physics and mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the chemistry or biotechnology or biology or technical vocational subjects, and obtained at least 50%marks (at least 45% marks in case of backward classes and persons with disability belonging to Maharashtra state only)
- Candidate should obtain non zero scores in CET conducted by the competent authority.
However, the preference shall be given to the candidates obtaining non zero positives in JEE (Main) paper 1 over the candidates who obtained non zero scores in CET.
NRI/OCI/PIO, Children of Indian Workers in Gulf Countries, Foreign National.
- The candidate should be an Indian National.
- Passes diploma courses in engineering and technology with at least 45% marks in appropriate branch of engineering and technology from an all India council for technical education or central or state government approved institution or its equivalent.

Reservation for persons with disability candidate
Three percent seats of the total sanctioned intake of all the institutions under the CAP shall be reserved for candidates with a disability.

Note – The candidate with a disability should note that admission to the degree course, they will not be given any exemptions or additional facility in the academic activities.
Important Instructions for Candidates
- The list of the institutions identified as facilitation centers and admission reporting centers will be available on the official website.
- Candidates who do not want to change the options already filled in for CAP round 1 and 2, their already filled options will be considered for allotment.
- The information is available on for download on the website.
- The candidates are required to produce the documents in original for verification and confirmation of application form at FC.
- If candidates fail to confirm the online filled application form then such application will be rejected.
- Candidates who have registered as a reserved category candidate for MHT-CET 2019 but unable to produce caste/tribe certificate for reservation claim during documents verification phase shall have to pay the difference of fees of rupees 200/- at the FC through online mode only.
