IIT Delhi and Kanpur are one of the best Civil Engineering institutes in India. However, it is recommended not to dream of high packages in Civil Engineering. The Training and Placement Cells at IITs work really hard to get the best opportunities to their campus. The placements at IIT Kharagpur are on par till date. Those who are lucky enough to get into the core companies have a very rewarding career. The opportunities in the Government sectors are way beyond the others.
A few IITs offer excellent job opportunities, while the other’s don’t. Therefore, it is better to contemplate and discuss before you opt for an institute for Civil Engineering. The graph of the Civil Engineering placements at IITs shows an exponential increase.
This makes clear that there will be more opportunities for the students with core branches in the near future. Also, the IITs with the best Civil Engineering Department attract more recruiters and better salaries. The alumni reputation in the recruiting companies is another factor that attracts companies to the campus. Since there are very less civil engineers in India, it is easy to grab a job opportunity.
