JAC Delhi: Joint Admission Counselling (JAC) Delhi conducts centralized counseling for admission into programs like BE/BTech/BArch offered by 4 technical universities/institutes of Government of NCT, Delhi. These institutes/universities include Delhi Technological University (DTU), Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University for Women (IGDTUW), Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology Delhi (IIT-D) and Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology (NSIT).

JAC 2019 Eligibility Criteria
Region
- Delhi Region Candidates (85% of seats): Aspirants passing the qualifying exam from a recognized School / College / Institute located within the National Capital Territory (NCT) of Delhi will be considered for Delhi Region only.
- Outside Delhi Region Candidates (15% of seats): Aspirants passing the qualifying examination from a recognized School / College /Institute located outside the National Capital Territory of Delhi will be considered for Outside Delhi Region only.
Note: If the center of examination is located in the N.C.T. of Delhi, the aspirant shall be considered under the Delhi Region and if the center of examination is located outside N.C.T. of Delhi, he/she shall be considered under the Outside Delhi Region.
Qualifying Examination
- Senior School Certificate Examination (12-year course) of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi.
- Indian School Certificate Examination (12-year course) of the Council for Indian School 3)Certificate Examination, New Delhi.
- Any other examination recognized as equivalent to the Senior School Certificate Examination of CBSE
Minimum Marks Criterion in Qualifying Examination
BE/BTech Course at DTU, IGDTUW, and NSIT
A candidate securing 60% or more marks in the aggregate of Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, and have passed English as a subject of study at the Senior School Certificate Examination Level (Core or Elective) will be considered eligible for admission to the first semester of BTech/BE course provided he/she has passed in each subject separately.
BTech Course at IIIT D
A candidate who has secured 80% or more marks in the aggregate of best of five subjects including Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics and 80% or more in Mathematics in qualifying examination will be considered eligible.
BArch Course at IGDTUW
A candidate will be considered eligible for admission to the First Year of the BArch Course if she has secured 50% or more marks in aggregate, and has passed Mathematics as a subject in the Senior School Certificate Level Examination and also qualifies the JEE (Main) Paper-2 exam.
JAC 2019 Reservation
Relaxation in Minimum Marks Criterion in Qualifying Examination for Reserved Category / Sub-Category Candidates
Aspirants belonging to various reserved categories namely OBC (Non-Creamy Layer), Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, and sub-categories namely Defence, Differently Abled Person, who apply for seats reserved for them, shall be allowed a concession in the minimum marks criterion as mentioned below
For DTU and IGDTUW only
- Other Backward Class (OBC-NCL): 5%
- Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST): 10%
- Defense (CW): 5%
- Differently Abled Person (PD): 10%
For NSIT only
- Other Backward Class (OBC-NCL): 10%
- Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST): Such aspirants must have just passed in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in the qualifying examination.
- Defense (CW): 5%
- Differently Abled Person (PD): 5%
For IIIT-D only
- Other Backward Class (OBC-NCL): 5%
- Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST): 10%

JAC 2019 Age Criteria
For DTU and IIIT-D Aspirant must be a minimum of 17 years and maximum 25 years of age on or before the 01.10.2018. Relaxation in minimum age up to one year only with the approval of Competent Authority is permissible (Such candidates should apply for relaxation only at the time of admission).
For NSIT and IGDTUW There is No minimum age requirement
JAC 2019 Admission Process
- Admission to BE/ BTech courses offered by DTU, IGDTUW and NSIT will be strictly on the basis of All India Rank in JEE (Main) Paper1.
- Admission to BArch course offered by IGDTUW will be strictly on the basis of All India Rank in JEE (Main) Paper 2.
- Admission to IIIT-D will be based on total marks obtained in Paper-1 of JEE Main and bonus marks for achievements in various areas like Olympiads, Programming Contest, National Talent Search, Sports, Culture, Chess, Innovation, etc.

JAC Delhi Admissions Application and Registration Form 2019
There are four steps in filling the application/registration form
Step 1: Submission of Registration-cum-Counselling Fee
- Aspirants first need to pay the registration cum counseling fee. For this, they need to visit the official website of JAC Delhi and pay the non-refundable registration-cum-counseling fee of Rs. 1400/- (+ Bank/BillDesk Transactions Charges).
- To pay the fee, aspirants will have to enter their JEE (Main) Roll No, Mobile No and E-Mail ID. The fee can be paid by any of the following ways
- By Credit / Debit Card / Internet Banking through Bill Desk Payment Gateway: Candidates can pay their registration-cum-counseling fee using the BillDesk Payment Gateway facility accessible on this website. Additional Transaction Charges for this mode are given below
- Credit / Debit Cards – 1.00% of the transaction amount plus Service Tax as applicable.
- Internet Banking – Rs. 10/- plus Service Tax as applicable.
If the amount gets deducted from your bank/card account but you are not able to register, it means that your transaction has failed. Such failed transactions are refunded to the same bank/card account automatically by the payment system within 7 working days. You should pay your fee again immediately so as to register. You may inform JAC Delhi about such event through email by providing the candidate’s details (JEE Roll Number, Name, Mobile Number, Date and Time of Transaction).
Aspirants who have paid the fee successfully can register for counseling immediately.
Using SBI Collect (Cash option also available here)
Aspirants can pay the registration-cum-counseling fee using the SBI Collect option on the official website. Payment can be made using the Net-Banking/credit /Debit card.
Note:
- After successful fee payment, candidates are required to visit the website www.jacdelhi.nic.in again and fill the online registration form.
- After successful fee payment, if a candidate does not fill the online registration form, he/she will not be considered for any seat allotment in any round of the counseling.
Step 2: Online Registration
To fill the online application form, aspirants must click on the “New Registration” link on the JAC Delhi website. Aspirants will have to enter their JEE Main 2018 Roll No, Date of Birth, Nationality, and Class 12th Pass certificate to access the JAC Delhi 2018 application form:
Besides the above, the aspirant will also need to enter other basic details and choose a password to complete the registration process. The JEE Main 2018 roll number will be the user ID of the aspirant.
Step 3: Filling of choices
Using the user ID and chosen password, aspirants will be required to fill choices. Aspirants are advised to fill as many choices as possible in the order of preference. Depending on the aspirant’s eligibility, available seat information will be displayed. The aspirant can use this information to decide the best options. While filling choices, the candidate will also be able to see the fee structure and branches of each participating institute.
Step 4: Locking of choices
Once the registration period is over, choices will automatically get locked. Aspirants should take a printout of the filled choices after choice filling ends for a particular round.
JAC 2019 Counselling
The process of counseling involves four important steps
Step 1: Payment of Counselling Fee
To begin with, aspirants will be required to pay a non-refundable registration-cum-counseling fee of Rs. 1400/- (excluding bank charge). The fee can be paid online as well as offline modes. Check details here.
Step 2: Online Registration
After the successful payment of the counseling fee, aspirants will have to visit the JAC Delhi registration portal and navigate to the New Registration link. To access the online registration form, aspirants will have to enter their Roll number of JEE Main, Date of Birth, Nationality and Result status of Class 10+2. Besides entering these details, candidates will also have to other basic details and upload their photo (not more than 40 KB) and signature (20 KB) in JPEG format.
Step 3: Log-in to JAC Account
- Upon logging in to your JAC account, aspirants will be able to see their registration details and available choices and filled in choices.
- Under Registration details, aspirants will be able to edit/make corrections/update the information entered on the system.
- Under Available Choices, aspirants will be able to see information related to institute and branch-wise availability of seats. Here, all the choices filled by candidates will also be displayed.
Step 4: Choice Filling
Aspirants who have successfully paid the registration-cum-counseling fee will have to fill in the choices of branch and institutes. They would be required to select from the options available basis their eligibility.
The options need to be entered in order of their preference. Aspirants are advised to enter the maximum number of choices to be able to have a better chance at admission. Before filling the choices, aspirants should check the fee structure and available branches of every institute.
Step 5: Choice Locking & Printing of Locked Choices
At this step, the choices entered by aspirants will be locked automatically once the registration date is over. Aspirants will be required to take a printout of the filled choices after the closing of choice filling for the specific round of counseling.
Step 6: Allotment of BE/ BTech Seats
Seat allotment for BE/BTech seats will begin once the online choice filling round concludes. The seat allotment will be based on JEE Main All India Merit Rank in Paper besides other parameters.
Step 7: Allotment of BArch Seats
Seat allotment for BArch seats will be based on the merit acquired by candidates in JEE Main Paper II besides other parameters. The order of preference entered by aspirants will be taken into consideration.
JAC 2019 Admission Fees
The aspirants who are allotted seats have to pay an initial amount of 75000 either through online mode or through SBI e-challan at any SBI Branch. For the same, aspirants will have to log in to his/her JAC account.
Note: Payment made through Demand Draft/ Cheques/ Cash is not accepted.
