Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test 2019-20: JNVST application form is released by the organization on the official website of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya. This test is conducted for the selection of students of Class 6th. Also, this test is conducted separately for Class 9th and Class 11th student selection. Examination for Class 9th has already been conducted for the session 2019-2020.
According to the policy of the Government, Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya has to be established in each district of the country. 62 new JNVs each have been sanctioned in various districts during 2016-2017. At present, there are 661 Vidyalayas sanctioned in 28 States and 7 Union Territories, out of which 629 are functioning. Each Vidyalaya has a full-fledged campus with sufficient building classrooms, staff-quarters, dining-hall and other infrastructural facilities like playgrounds, libraries, labs, etc.

JNVST Eligibility Criteria
Before the candidate go-ahead for the application procedure, it is necessary for them to know the eligibility criteria for taking admission in classes 6th, 9th, and 11th.
- For Class – 6: Candidate should be between the age group of 9 to 13 years. They should have passed Class-5 from a recognized school. Those candidates who have already appeared for admission before are not allowed.
- For Class – 9: candidates should be between the age group of 13 to 16 years. They should have passed Class-8th from a recognized private or government school.
- For Class – 11: the age group for candidates should be between 14 to 18 years. They should have qualified Class-10th from a recognized private or public school.

JNV Admit Card
JNVST Admit Card will be issued on 1st December on the official website of the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test (JNVST). Important Points to Remember for JNV Selection Test
- Additional time of 30 minutes will be allowed for “Divyang students”.

Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Education Fees
- There are no fees for education in Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya. Not only for education but also for boarding, lodging, uniforms, and textbooks are free of cost in JNV.
- Only for Class 9th and 12th, a nominal fee of Rs.600/- per month is collected.
- For SC/ST, Girls, Divyang and from families below the poverty line, the education is free in JNV.
