KCET 2020: Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) 2020 will be conducted by Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) on April 22 and 24 for admission of candidates to various Engineering, B. Pharm and Farm Science courses in Government/ University/ Private Aided/Private un-aided institutions in Karnataka State. Candidates who have passed the qualifying examination, 10+2/ 2nd PUC/ 12th standard/ equivalent exam or appearing for it, are eligible to appear for KCET 2020.
The application of the Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) 2020 was available online till February 28 but now dates have been extended from 5th March to 20th March 2019. KCET examinations will be held for two days in four different sessions. The exams will be conducted for four subjects – Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.
The questions asked in KCET 2019 exams will be based on the syllabus of the Ist and IInd PUC prescribed by the Department of Pre-University Education State. After the candidates have passed the KCET 2019 test, based on the marks obtained in the test and required aggregate in qualifying examination, the merit list will be prepared, category-wise. KCET Admit Cards are available from 16th April 2019 on the official website, www.kea.kar.nic.in.

Karnataka Common Entrance Test 2020 Results
- KCET 2020 Result will be release from the official website cetonline.karnataka.gov.in or karresults.nic.in.
- The results for Karnataka CET 2020 will be declared in the month of May.
- Candidates have to check the official website to know the results.
- Candidates have to enter their application number/registration number and date of birth to download the KCET results.
- On the basis of this result and qualifying examination, the merit list will be prepared.
- Candidates who have qualified KCET 2020 will get the opportunity to go for counseling round.
Karnataka Common Entrance Test Admit Card
- KCET Hall ticket 2020 will be available through online mode only. It will be provided since 10th April 2020 on the official website, www.kea.kar.nic.in.
- The candidate has to enter the application form number/registration number and date of birth to generate the admit card.
- After the admit card is made available, download it and take a print out.
- Candidates have to carry the admit card along with any of the ID proof like Aadhaar Card, Passport, PAN Card, College ID Card before entering the exam hall for KCET.
KCET Eligibility Criteria
KCET has different eligibility criteria for different courses, such as B.E./B.Tech., B.Pharma, MBBS/ BDS, B.Arch., Ayurveda, Homeopathy, Unani, Naturopathy, and Yoga. Let us discuss this.
BE/B.Tech
- Candidate should have passed 10+2 or 2nd PUC.
- Must have passed 10+2 with Physics, Mathematics, English along with Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/Electronics/Computer subjects.
- Passed 10+2 or 2nd PUC with 45% aggregate (40% for reserved category)
B.Pharma
- Candidate should have passed 10+2 or 2nd PUC with Physics+Chemistry+Biology or Physics+Chemistry+Mathematics group of subjects.
- Passed 10+2 or 2nd PUC with 45% aggregate (40% for reserved category)
- Diploma in Pharmacy candidates are also eligible to apply
MBBS/BDS
- Candidate should have passed 10+2 or 2nd PUC with Physics+Chemistry+Biology and English as a group of subjects.
- Passed 10+2 or 2nd PUC with 50% aggregate (40% for reserved category)
- Qualified in NEET 2019 entrance exam
B.Arch
- Candidate should have passed 10+2 or 2nd PUC with Mathematics as a compulsory subject.
- Passed 10+2 or 2nd PUC with 50% aggregate (40% for reserved category)
- Valid NATA score card required Ayurveda, Homeopathy, Unani, Naturopathy, and Yoga
- Candidate should have passed 10+2 or 2nd PUC with Physics+Chemistry+Biology and English as a group of subjects.

KCET Application Form – How To Apply for KCET Exam?
After the candidate has gone through the notification brochure and known the eligibility criteria required for the exam, they can go for filling up the application form for the KCET exam.
- The candidate has to apply online for KCET 2020 exam.
- Visit the official website www.kea.kar.nic.in, to apply online
- Keep the scan copy of the student’s Passport size photo, signature and left-hand thumb impression and parent’s.signature and left-hand thumb impression, before starting to fill the application form.
- At the time of applying online, the certificates of id proof, date of birth, reservation category or the copy of any document is not required but at the time of admission for any course, these documents could be asked by institutes for verification purpose.
- Once the candidate has filled the form, they have to do the payment for the application by offline mode, in the specified Bank / e-Post Office through challan.
- After submitting the form, candidates can download it and take a print out for reference.
KCET Application Fee
Candidates have to pay the Application fee through offline mode (Bank Challan). Those who are residing outside India can pay the fee through Demand Draft(DD) in favor of

KCET Syllabus
- The syllabus for Karnataka Common Entrance Test KCET 2019 will be based on the first and second PUC syllabus formulated by the Department of Pre-University Education of Karnataka State.
- The exam will be comprised of physics, chemistry, mathematics and biology subjects.
- Candidates should prepare for the KCET exam as per the syllabus prescribed for each course, for which they are applying.
KCET Answer Key
- After the Karnataka Common Entrance Test is over, the authority will release the provisional answer key.
- KCET answer key 2019 will be available online on its official website.
- Candidates can file their objection addressed to the “Executive Director, Karnataka Examination Authority, Bangalore” either in person or via speed post.
- The final answer key will be published on the website along with the result.
