KVPY 2019: Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY) is a national level scholarship exam conducted by Indian Insititute Of Science (IISc), Banglore. Those students who are qualified in KVPY exam are called as KVPY fellows and these KVPY fellows can avail scholarship in the field of Science up to doctorate level. Generally, the candidates who want avail the KVPY fellowship must qualify in the two-stage selection process.
Only the students of class 11 to 1st-year graduates of basic science are eligible to attempt the KVPY 2019 and the qualifying students will receive the KVPY Scholarship amount every month. There are three streams in KVPY 2019 exam that are SA, SX, SB that is SA represents students of class 11, SX represents students of class 12 whereas the SB represents students studying in the first year of graduation in a stream of science. KVPY Fellowship
The KVPY fellowship or KVPY scholarship amount is tabulated below:

KVPY Eligibility For SA/SX/SB
The KVPY eligibility criteria will vary from the stream they have chosen and the eligibility criteria for each stream is tabulated below:
1. KVPY SA: Students of Class 11 & the eligibility criteria of KVPY exam is listed below:
- Candidates should have scored at least 75% in Maths & Science in Class 10 exam.
- SC/ST/PWD candidates must have secured a minimum aggregate of 65%.
2. KVPY SX: Students of class 12 & the eligibility criteria of KVPY is listed below:
- Students must have secured at least 60% in Maths & Science.
- SC/ST/PWD candidates must have secured a minimum aggregate of 50%.
3. KVPY SB: Students of 1st year in graduation and the eligibility criteria are listed below:
- Candidates must have opted for the science stream.
- Students must have secured at least 60% in class 12 exam.
KVPY Registration & Application Form

- Part I: In Part 1, total marks will be of 100 and for every correct answer 1 mark will be awarded & for every incorrect answer 0.25 marks will be deducted.
- Part II: In Part 2, total marks will be of 160 and for every correct answer 2 marks will be awarded & for every incorrect answer 0.5 marks will be deducted.
KVPY Personal Interview
The students who are qualified in the KVPY written exam will be called for a personal interview where they will examine the student’s knowledge in science and research. Based on the personal interview, the candidates will be shortlisted and awarded with the scholarship.
KVPY Syllabus
The KVPY Syllabus for each stream is given below:
KVPY SA Syllabus: Syllabus of class 11th subjects that are Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology.
KVPY SX Syllabus: Syllabus of class 12 subjects that are Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology.
KVPY SB Syllabus: Syllabus of class 11 & 12, & 1st-year graduation.
KVPY Admit Card
The candidates who are appearing for KVPY exam must carry their KVPY admit card as no candidate will be allowed to exam hall without KVPY admit card. The KVPY admit card will be released 1 month prior to the exam and candidates can download the KVPY admit card from the official website. KVPY admit card contains the venue where the student should appear for the exam and the student must take their KVPY exam in the exam center as mentioned in the admit card.
KVPY Result
Once the exams are over, the officials of KVPY will announce the results in the official website. Students can visit the official website and login with the help of their credentials to download the result. Along with the KVPY result, the officials will also release the KVPY Cutoff and merit list, the candidates who meet this cutoff are eligible for further round. Those candidates whose name is present in the KVPY merit list will be called for personal interview.
