What is the Importance of Placement Papers
Placement papers help us to test someone’s critical thinking and reading comprehension skills. They are generally in the form of a passage of text about a randomly selected topic. You then have to answer a series of statements about that topic. Your job here is to figure out if the statement is true, false or you can’t tell, depending on the data in the passage. They are actually in the form of some data displayed in a table, graph or chart.
The set of data could relate to any topic. You’ll then be asked questions which include analyzing the data and working on some basic calculations, using arithmetic, ratios, percentages, and rates of change. Some questions in those papers are generally multiple-choice quizzes with 4-5 answer chances. You’ll be shown a line from left to right of 4-5 squares which comprise other shapes and symbols. Each of these shapes and symbols is following some type of pattern from left to right. Your job is to recognize these patterns and then select which square comes next in the sequence. You’ll have 4-5 answer options to select from the given.
